Breakfast chronicles – Prata Quiche

A Quiche is very easy to make (you just need to mix all the ingredients together), especially when you have ready made puff pastry, which unfortunately is not affordably available here. Frozen Prata is a viable substitute. It produces flaky pastry, though it doesn’t taste buttery at all.

I made the mistake of applying the Prata pastry directly onto the mould and it remained stuck on the mould after baking. I will probably try applying a generous layer of melted butter next time, both top and bottom. The baking time required for a golden brown crust is probably 20 minutes at more than 180 degrees Celsius (guesstimating by extrapolating the baking time of my under-baked ones

).

Overall, I think this is a good recipe to try when you have leftover slices of ham.
