Breakfast chronicles – Eggs Benedict

Homemade Eggs Benedict with homemade English muffins and homemade Hollandaise sauce. I guess it wasn’t as tedious as i thought i might be. I did use ready-made salted egg yolk, so that helped just a little bit, which, otherwise, you just need the extra step of cracking a few eggs.

DSC_0184This is a really nice breakfast item to make from time to time. I wouldn’t hesitate to order Eggs Benedict in a cafe even though i can make it at home now. Taste wise, i think the zesty lemon juice in the Hollandaise sauce really gives a huge kick.

Before this, i never had success in making poached eggs. I even bought a special pod (for a lot of money!) and it didn’t give favourable results. Finally, I attempted the seriouseats method and had success this very first time. There was little wastage of egg white as well with this method.
