These buns can supposedly be made in an hour, and I actually tried, but found that it really takes more than an hour if you want it to rise to the proper size, and besides, it is quite a rush. With the lesson learnt, i prepared the dough the day before and let it rise overnight in the fridge (they rose just slightly, but it varies each time). In the morning, i warm them in the oven for half an hour to get the intended rise before baking.
There are infinite ways to eat the buns – eat them as is, apply butter, add ham and eggs, whatever. Kids love these buns. Pictured above – buns with luncheon meat, fried eggs and cheese. Didn’t bother to shape them properly, but they sure are tasty.
