Label Printing with IDAutomation

Don’t ask me why, but i’ve always been fascinated about label printing, especially when it comes with a barcode. Yes, i actually own a barcode scanner which is collecting dust somewhere. Anyway, barcodes were designed to relieve the need for human data entry (and hence reduce human error as well), which is why they are popular for Point-of-Sales applications. It may be the impression of many that it costs a lot of money to print these complicated looking barcoded labels, but it could actually be done for free (using a standard laser/inkjet printer and adhesive label sheets).

It’s hard to believe IDAutomation gives out it’s Barcode Label Design Application for free. It has advanced features such as linking to an external data source (e.g. excel sheet) to print individual labels (vs printing a sheet-ful of duplicate labels). You could even have a running serial number printed, encoded as a barcode if you like. The only downside is that you have to print an entire sheet of labels even when you need just one.

Small businesses looking for a cost-effective barcode label printing tool to use with their Point-of-Sales application need not look any further. (Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with IDAutomation in any way)
